  • Center Supervisor/Family Advocate Memphis

    The CAPNEMO Head Start Program announces a full-time Center Supervisor/ Family Advocate vacancy at our Memphis site. The Center Supervisor/Family Advocate is responsible for working with families to assess their needs, assist in meeting the needs of program objectives, and Social Service and Parent Involvement at the Head Start site. The Center Supervisor/Family Advocate oversees the daily center operation; including assurance of compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and Missouri Childcare licensing regulations.

    Education: Associate's Degree in social work, human service, family service or related field and staff supervision experience preferred, but will train the right candidate. Must be willing to obtain the Family Development Credential within 18 months of hire.

    Must pass a Child and Elder Care Worker screening, provide proof of a yearly physical exam and TB test, and participate in all required training. Must maintain current First Aid and CPR certification. Must maintain a valid Class "F" driver's license, have reliable transportation, and meet Missouri automobile liability minimum requirements. This is a full-year full-time position.

  • Client Advocate/Mobile Outreach Coordinator-Central

    CAPNEMO announced the opening for MOU/Client Advocate. The Client Advocate/Mobile Outreach Coordinator serves as the agency's point of contact for individuals and families seeking to participate in agency programs. The Client Advocate will primarily be in the Adair County Central Office. The Mobile Outreach Coordinator will serve Clark, Knox, Scotland, and Schuyler counties, to assess client needs and enroll clients in appropriate agency programs. Additionally, the Client Advocate is responsible for setting a schedule and assisting low-income individuals and families to meet emergent needs and acquire knowledge, skills, and assets leading to greater self-sufficiency and effective interaction with families and the community. The Client Advocate will perform case management duties to provide ongoing support to those who need it while participating in our programs.

    Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college in education, business, social service, or a related field that meets funding source requirements, preferred or equivalent experience. Must pass a Child and Elder Care Worker screening and participate in all required training. Must have a driver's license, have reliable transportation,n and meet Missouri automobile liability minimum requirements. 

    This is a full-time, 4 day work week position based in Central Office

    The CAPNEMO Head Start Program has openings for Substitute Teachers in Adair, Clark, Knox, Schuyler & Scotland counties.
    The Substitute will assist classroom staff and cooperate in a supportive role, carrying out developmentally appropriate activities. To promote the health, nutrition and education of the children and to attend to their safety and welfare.
