Head Start & Early Head Start

Head Start is dedicated to promoting school readiness by enhancing the social, cognitive, and emotional development of children. We offer a comprehensive range of services to children and their families, including educational, health, nutritional, and social support, to ensure they thrive both in school and in life.

We actively engage parents in their children's learning and provide assistance as they work toward their educational, literacy, and employment goals. Parent involvement is a cornerstone of the Head Start program, with significant emphasis placed on including parents in the administration of local programs.

Our Goals Include:

  • Providing safe, developmentally appropriate care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers to foster their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth, preparing them for future learning and development.
  • Supporting parents—both mothers and fathers—as primary caregivers and teachers of their children.
  • Assisting families in achieving their personal goals and increasing self-sufficiency in various areas of life.
  • Mobilizing communities to provide resources and an environment that ensures families receive a comprehensive and integrated array of services and support.
  • Delivering high-quality, responsive services through the development of a trained and caring staff.
